These chicken Roast are semi dry gravy cooked in a kerela style with small onion and curry leaves with shallow fried chicken. chicken roast are always my family favourite…I always prefer doing these type of semi dry gravy rather than chicken fry… you can check out my other chicken fry recipes Rosemary Chicken Fry,  chicken bezule  Thattukada chicken fry

In this chicken Roast chicken is marinated with crushed ingredients and cooked.. lots of small onion is used which adds taste to the dish..and you should use coconut oil to cook this that would be even more tastier…

Instructions
Marination
  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with ingredients under 'marinate' except water . for 1/2 hour .Then pressure cook it for 1 whistle with 1/2 cup water.after that remove the chicken pieces seperately
For Masala
  1. In a pan add coconut oil, curry leaves and shallow fry chicken pieces from above..
  2. To that same oil add more curry leaves ,sliced small onion and saute it,
  3. soak the redchillies in warm water and grind it with vinegar to a paste then add to above masala and saute till raw smell is gone.
  4. Then add tomatoes,salt and cook till mushy .then add the reserved stock form cooking the chicken .and make it a semi gravy then add the chicken pieces and cook till dry .

  5. Hmmm…. looks delicious! Dunno how to find curry leaves and kashmiri chilli here in Indonesia too. But am still delightful to be educated on South Asian food. Might try that for hubby someday once the ingredients are accessible. Thanks for sharing!

      Glad that you liked it..you can use normal redchilli powder too..and curryleaves is one of the main ingredients that add flavour to dish
